1783A - Project Controls Analyst

Role Objectives

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls Analyst to join our team at beginning of May 2017. The role is fulltime for 12 months and working in our office and on client site in downtown Calgary. As the Project Controls Analyst, you will provide financial administration support for multiple projects, prepare budgets and forecasts, including tracking expenses, and vendor invoicing validation. 


  • Provide financial administration support for projects
  • Provide direct financial reporting and project planning support to PgMs/PMs by communicating time and quality project financials
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts to project and track financial metrics such as capital vs expense or incurred vs forecasted financials
  • Monitor budget cost distributions, including: budget distributions, change requests, variance analysis
  • project forecasting, and monthly financial accruals as well as vendor invoice validation, timesheet and billing verification/reconciliation
  • Provide project financial information on the current status of all projects under scope to ensure project visibility to Leadership in a common and consistent manner
  • Liaise and coordinate with the administrative team to assist with tax, finance, and supply chain to ensure the appropriate corporate processes are being followed
  • Status reporting 


  • Strong financial acumen  
  • Proven and demonstrated financial reporting experience  
  • Financial analysis and budget preparation
  • Experience with SAP
  • Vendor and supply chain experience
  • Collaboration with team members
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
